The story of Junmeijia Tea Shop originates from a young man's persistence in pursuing his dream. In 1986, the founder, Mr. Wei, created this small tea kingdom in Taipei because of his love for tea. By chance, he took a position as the manager of the tea department and the factory director of Guishan Refined Processing Plant of Taiwan Agriculture and Forestry Corporation, which was then the leading tea company in Taiwan (one of the largest tea factories in Taiwan at the time, along with Daxi Old Tea Factory, Sanyi Tea Plantation, Tongluo Tea Factory, and Riyue Old Tea Factory). Through this, he became acquainted with tea farmers in various famous tea-producing areas. He once lived in the mountains for almost two months without returning home in order to select the best tea, selecting teas from low altitudes of 600 meters to the highest altitude in Taiwan of 2600 meters until the end of the tea season. With his experience and innovative ideas, the shop was originally named "Taiwan Agriculture and Forestry Corporation Heping Branch" out of gratitude for its origins. Later, after the founder retired, it was renamed "Junmeijia Tea Company".
The owner's insistence on high quality and fresh taste laid a solid foundation for Junmeijia Tea Shop, which is "everything must be worth the price, quality is the priority, and eating healthily and safely is our only principle." As a result, Junmeijia Tea Shop has become one of the most unique old tea shops in Taipei, Taiwan.
As time went by, the second generation of successors followed in their father's footsteps, embarking on this tea journey. The owner's commitment to quality remained unchanged; what changed was a more accessible way of explaining tea and a more diverse range of partners. From five-star hotels and restaurants, listed companies, customized tea gift sets for holidays, and tea bags for home use, to today's hand-shaken beverage shops, bars, cafes, and trendy online stores, they've expanded their reach to allow good tea to be seen in more places.
